During the past few months, during which the coronavirus pandemic has made it necessary for people in all parts of the world to shelter in place in order to stay healthy and stop the spread of disease, I've been thinking a lot about the families I've met on the eleven trips I've been on with Habitat for Humanity's Global Village program.  It makes me extraordinarily happy to know that they have a safe, decent place to live and I feel grateful to Global Village and my team members for making that happen.  

With travel on hold for most of us, it isn't possible right now to go and mix mortar and lay bricks, but that doesn't mean the need is any less great.  I want to make  sure that Global Village can continue to do this important work. To that end, I've set up this fundraising team and I'm asking you to think about contributing.  I know that this is a tough time for many of us, but if you have the means, I hope you'll make a donation.

All donations will go to the Global Impact Fund and be distributed to Habitat National Organizations and affiliates in the U.S. and around the world, allowing Habitat to send the donations where they’re needed most. Every contribution – no matter the size – will have a life-changing impact on families in need of a decent, affordable shelter.
