Hi! I'm Bill Hoover and I'm raising money for Habitat because ...
Too many families right here in America live in unthinkable conditions. Although shelter is one of life's basic necessities, it is merely a dream for many who work hard and deserve so much more. Please join me in supporting this effort to provide a future that is far more than merely a roof overhead. A house is where you hang your hat - but fulfilling the dream of owning a home is where you plant your heart. Thank you all for your generous support!
Update ... Thank You Dottie Stephenson - as of August 23rd, I have reached 37% of my goal. We're on a roll now! Seventeen days to go - help me keep the momentum!
About Habitat for Humanity and the Carter Work Project
Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope, believing that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. Each year for the past 31 years, former President Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalynn, have given a week of their time to help Habitat improve and build homes.
This year, the Habitat for Humanity 2014 Carter Work Project Contest celebrates their dedicated service with a special build starting on World Habitat Day. If I am fortunate enough to reach, and hopefully exceed my goal by September 14th - and raise the most money, I'll be invited to Dallas-Fort Worth to celebrate and help build with the Carters in October.
No donation is too small - and each dollar moves us one step closer to our goal. Again, thanks for your support - and happy building!
