By creating a personal fundraising page, you agree that you have read and accept these Official Rules of the Contest.

  1. Sponsor. The Contest is sponsored by Habitat for Humanity International, Inc. ("HFHI"), 270 Peachtree Street, NW, Suite 1300, Atlanta, GA 30303, a Georgia nonprofit corporation.
  2. Contest Description. The purpose of the 2014 Carter Work Project Fundraising Contest is to encourage individuals to raise funds for HFHI in celebration of the 31th anniversary of the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project through personal fundraising pages. The contest winner will receive prizes as outlined in these Official Rules.
  3. Who May Enter. All persons entering the contest ("Entrants") must be at least 18 years of age as of the date of entry, be U.S. Citizens' and reside in the Continental United States. Employees, independent contractors, and interns of HFHI, as well as their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses) are not eligible to enter the Contest. No purchase or donation by the Entrant is necessary. The Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
  4. How to Enter. Each Entrant must create a personal fundraising page at habitat.org/cwpcontest and accept the terms of these Official Rules by selecting the checkbox where indicated on the website.
  5. Contest Period. The Contest begins at 12:01 a.m. EDT on August 11, 2014 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on September 12, 2014.
  6. Contest Prize. One U.S. originating round-trip air ticket to Dallas, Texas, modest daily accommodation and meals for the duration of the 2014 Jimmy & Rosalyn Carter Work Project (the "Dallas Prize") will be awarded to the Entrant with the largest total dollar amount raised during the Contest via their personal fundraising page. Donations must be made online through a participating personal fundraising page with a debit or credit card or by PayPal between 12:01 a.m. EDT August 11, 2014 and 11:59 p.m. EDT September 12, 2014 to be counted as part of the Contest. The estimated retail value of the Dallas Prize is $3600.00.
  7. Conditions. By entering the Contest, each Entrant agrees: a) to comply with and be bound by the Rules; b) that the decision of HFHI is final and binding on all matters relating to the Contest; c) that HFHI may use the Entrant's name, likeness, and/or voice in any media and with any publicity or promotion relating to the Contest or HFHI; d) that HFHI has the right to use, copy, distribute, publish, and modify material from the Entrant's personal fundraising pages in any media and for any purpose without attribution or compensation to the Entrant; and e) that HFHI can collect and use the Entrant's personal information to administer the Contest and for other purposes as outlined in HFHI's privacy policy located at http://www.habitat.org/privacy.aspx.
  8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE ENTRANT AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS HFHI AND ITS PARTNERS AND AFFILIATES, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, AGENTS, AND REPRESENTATIVES FROM AND AGAINST ANY LIABILITY, CLAIMS, DEMANDS, LOSSES, DAMAGES, COSTS AND EXPENSES ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO ENTRANT'S PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST, ANY CONTEST-RELATED ACTIVITY, ANY BREACH OR VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES, AND/OR THE ACCEPTANCY OF ANY PRIZE AWARDED FOR THE CONTEST.
  9. Governing Law/Severability. This Contest is governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. If any provision(s) of these Official Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
  10. Winner Announcement. The Contest winner for the Dallas Prize will be announced to the public via habitat.org by 12:01 a.m. EDT September 14, 2014. If a Contest winner cannot be traced or does not respond within seven days after receiving notification, or if the Contest winner refuses or is ineligible for a prize, the prize will be forfeited and HFHI may select an alternate winner.
  11. Right to Cancel or Suspend the Contest. HFHI reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest at any time and for any reason.
  12. Binding Agreement. These Official Rules form a legally binding agreement between HFHI and the Entrant with respect to this Contest. The Entrant should read these Official Rules carefully and must agree to them in order to be eligible to participate in the Contest or to win any of the prizes. Your creation or use of a fundraising page during the Contest constitutes your agreement to these Official Rules.
