In honor of International Women’s Day and World Water Day, Rhea Triche and Rylie Martin from Habitat for Humanity’s Global Programs Design and Implementation team will speak to the intersection of water, housing and gender equality.
Women and girls are disproportionately impacted by the lack of access to water, sanitation and hygiene — or WASH — services and consequently face unique barriers to good health, education and participation in the economy. The presentation will also provide specific examples of how Habitat is addressing gender equality and empowerment through WASH initiatives.
