Habitat for Humanity -- Stories from the 2012 Carter Work Project
The Carter Work Project was able to build 100 more homes in Haiti. It’s not too late to support families in need of homes around the world. Donate Now Dear Habitat friend,

Former President Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalynn, return from Haiti this week, where they — along with hundreds of Habitat for Humanity volunteers — built 100 new homes. Their namesake annual project, Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project, returned to Haiti for the second consecutive year to build homes, communities and hope with disaster-affected families in Léogâne, the epicenter of the devastating January 2010 earthquake.

I was moved by the tireless efforts of the volunteers, some working until the late hours of the night to make sure every home was complete. And I was reminded of the difference Habitat for Humanity makes in the lives of so many families around the world — particularly young Sapir, who was born mere days before in the same house I helped her dad build during last year’s Carter Work Project.

Your support helped make this year’s Carter Work Project a success.

I’d like to invite you to explore photos, stories and more from this year’s event:
Thank you for all that you do for families in need of safe, decent, affordable homes.

In gratitude,
