Pastor Tito and his wife were used to moving from place to place but it became more challenging when their children were born. Two years ago, their family was among 48 families who moved into the Lions Village in the Cali site, Tacloban City. Support came from a partnership between the Lions Clubs International Foundation and Habitat for Humanity Philippines in response to 2013’s Typhoon Haiyan. Pastor Tito said, “We waited 11 years to have a permanent home of our own. God has prepared this blessing for us.” NEWSOver 300 new homes completed in Negros Occidental

To supply others beyond her village, she has applied for entrepreneurship development support under the project. Besides Project Nirmanshree, Habitat India has served over 1.3 million people in the first phase of its COVID-19 response. Learn more in their annual report for 2019-2020. Registration for the virtual event is free till August 31 for the first 500 participants who sign up for the main Forum, December 7-9, 2021. We are also accepting submissions for the Innovation Awards until August 31 via the Forum website, aphousingforum.org. To those who serve, with love
In 2021, 235 million people will need humanitarian assistance and protection, according to the United Nations. On World Humanitarian Day today, we honor the aid workers who have lost their lives or are injured in the course of work. We also stand alongside many humanitarians who continue to support others in need. We appreciate your support for Habitat and the people from all walks of life who partner with us. Please invite others to subscribe for more updates and stories.
