As Monday fell on Christmas Day this week, you are receiving this message today

Nothing captures the full impact of Habitat for Humanity better than our stories. It’s those stories — of community, determination and transformation among homeowners, advocates, volunteers and donors alike — that help people connect to our mission on a personal level.

Please refer to our Quick Reference for Writers and Style and Reference Guide for suggested grammar, punctuation, usage and a repository of institutional knowledge.

Collaboration corner

The collaboration corner highlights updates and changes that will help you and your affiliate better understand important details about Collaborative Fundraising, Goal 2 of the Collaborative Operating Model.

Join fellow Habitat leaders at the 2024 Affiliate Conference to learn more about Habitat’s future state vision regarding the Habitat 2.0 financial model and collaborative fundraising in the Collaborative Fundraising Preconference session on March 4. Affiliated organization leaders are encouraged to attend to gain clarity on what will be implemented in July 2024 and inform key decisions. The session will focus on the following areas:

During this time, we will review the Fundraising Potential Report and the Self-Assessment Tool that has been distributed to affiliates. We will provide a detailed explanation of these two resources and how an affiliate can make an informed decision about the appropriate tier for Collaborative Fundraising.

Local Engagement Pilot Results
What does local engagement look like at your affiliate? During this session, we will review the pilot program HFHI has been conducting with affiliates to examine the best opportunities for local donor engagement and continued stewardship on the local level.

Donor Advancement Program and Major Gifts Collaboration
This session will provide an overview of the Donor Advancement Program, which is a key piece of the national Direct Marketing program, and Major Gift collaboration, which will be a new process between affiliates and HFHI as part of Collaborative Fundraising. The target audience for this session is development staff members who are interested in learning more about Collaborative Fundraising and would like to understand the process of identifying and qualifying major gifts in the future state of fundraising.

**This preconference session is eligible for 3.5 CFRE Continuing Education points.
